But what happens when you toss in airline travel with your dog? In today’s mobile society it is very common for thousands of people each day, to be traveling with their dog. Some dogs have to go to a kennel or to the house of a friend, but other lucky dogs get to travel with their owners on the airplane. If your favorite traveler’s e-book reader doesn’t have the new Kindle Paperwhite backlit technology or if he or she doesn’t own a great tablet yet, the Kindle Paperwhite e-reader or Kindle Fire HDX tablet would make the perfect gift. I purchased a Kindle Paperwhite e-reader just before my most recent trip abroad and loved being able to unwind with a wide selection of books that I could carry around in my purse!
When we flew with our dog Angus to the Phil. we have given him a little food and water a few hours before going to the airport which was 2 hours drive. Then we let him peed and made his big business before checking in. It was adviced by our vet not to sedate him so that he could control himself in case he had to pee or so. Besides that Angus was already trained for a long hours of travel in Europe. I suggest, start training your pet prior to your travel. Thanks for your comment. You are always welcome to visit my writing. Good luck to your travel with your shihtzu.
Drink coffee at home/work. It’s easy to fall into the trap of stopping at Starbucks and picking up that Venti Caramel Macchiato, but even if you’re only paying $4 a pop and only twice a week, that’s over $30 you’re spending. Cut back to once a month when you really neeeeed it and buy a big thing of fancy creamer or coffee syrup and make your cup at home and/or at work. Every time you want to go get a coffee, but don’t, put that money into your vacation fund.
You are very welcome Kahlil John. We have paid about 200 plus Euro for the flight of Angus as our overweight luggage. That was 5 years ago. It really depends on the airline how much they charge you for the flight of your dog. Just make your research on the flight company. Thanks for stopping by.
Your choice will always depend on what situations you will be using the travel blanket. For example if you need a blanket to keep you warm in your car, you can buy a heated travel blanket that is a mini electric blanket and would not work on an airplane.
There are many occasions when a dog might have to travel by itself. Even though you may not want to do this, you can be sure that airlines do this all the time and will take very good care of your dog. A little pre-planning on your part will ensure that your dog will have a journey with as little stress as possible. Just following a few basic rules of thumb will be very helpful.
