Nightclubs in Spain are planning to return in a whole new avatar now, as call for social distancing is the new norm. The nightclub industry in Spain has proposed some safety measures so that people can enjoy clubbing while staying safe. Though it sounds like something that is achievable, the nightclubs are looking to reopen this summer, and are making all arrangements.

Your visit to a nightclub could involve dancing with masks, drinking with straws, and staying away from areas that are marked on the dance floor. The tourism sector that accounts for more than 12 percent of the country’s GDP was largely hit after lockdown was imposed all over. Nightlife was also hit during the lockdown, as all establishments remained closed.

Along with the masks and the straws, visitors are also required to wash their hands at entrance, and even when leaving the club. The safety guidelines have been listed by the National Federation of Leisure and Entertainment Businesses (FNEOE), and the Institute for Quality Tourism.

Reports suggest that the mega-clubs of Spain, located in the wildly famous Ibiza, actually generate about 20 billion euros. Restarting these would definitely require the permission of the government. As of now, bars are allowed to open in Spain, but on outdoor terraces with limited capacity.

As of now, nightclubs continue to remain shut, and any news of reopening has not come thus far from the government.
