Los Angeles starts welcoming tourists with new safety measures

People’s favourite holiday destination Los Angeles, also known as L.A., has finally opened its door for tourists. The County Public Health officials have given their clearance to the famousity in California a clearance for travel. Home to the famous Hollywood sign, Universal Studios and Disneyland Park, the city is reopening after remaining under lockdown for months because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Ernest Wooden Jr., Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board president and CEO said, “We are excited to roll out our signature red carpet once again and safely welcome back visitors to the City of Angels as Los Angeles County public health experts and government officials have officially announced leisure travel can resume beginning Friday, June 12.”

He further said that this is a huge step forward for the remarkable hotels and hospitality businesses to gradually begin to reopen their doors in accordance with new safety measures.

Apparently, the city has designed some new health measures for the safety and wellbeing of visitors, who wish to explore L.A. Hotels too are now allowed to welcome visitors. Along with this, all the prominent places of tourist interests such as museums, zoos and cultural institutes also have the permission to reopen but visitors will have to comply with the new health rules and regulations.

Face masks are a must for all! Wearing a face covering is mandatory at the beach, on the golf course, on transit buses, metro buses or trains. Retail shops will open with 50 percent capacity, and the restaurants in the city too are functioning at limited capacity.
