Kargil, Pulwama and 10 UP districts become Coronavirus-free after Goa and Manipur

After Goa and Manipur, it is time for Kargil to say goodbye to the Coronavirus. Reportedly, Kargil is the first district in Ladakh to become Coronavirus-free. The fourth patient, who had tested positive for the disease, was discharged from the hospital after recovery.

In addition, Kashmir’s Pulwama district has also been declared COVID-free. Reportedly, Dr. Jameel Mir, Medical Superintendent (MS) of the district hospital in Pulwama, told the press that the three Coronavirus patients from Pulwama have recovered and were permitted to leave the hospital.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, a MP from, expressed gratitude for all the heroes in Kargil for making the district free from the disease.

In Uttar Pradesh, the state government has announced 10 districts as Corona-free. The COVID-free districts are Pilibhit, Hathras, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Maharajganj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Shahjahanpur, Barabanki, Hardoi and Kaushambi. On the other hand, destinations like Varanasi, Bulandshahar, Kanpur, Lucknow, Basti, Firozabad and Aligarh are still under the vigilance of police and state government authorities.

Goa had reported seven positive cases of Coronavirus infection. Six of them had a travel history, while one was infected after coming in contact with his brother, who was already infected. In Manipur, the two patients who had reported positive for the virus have also made a safe recovery.
