Wuhan’s tourist attractions set to reopen

Wuhan’s popular tourist hotspot, the Yellow Crane Tower, will be reopening soon. The city was hit hard by COVID-19, and is gradually moving toward normalcy. Reportedly, Wuhan province in China has finally become a Coronavirus-free region after several months of struggle.

Starting from tomorrow, the scenic park will open for the public from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. However, the number of visitors to be allowed inside the park has been capped at 5400 per day. Those wanting to visit the park can book tickets online, and scan their QR code at the entry after providing a green health code and going through the temperature check.

Hubei, Central China’s province, has also resumed operations in its 266 major tourist attractions. Of these tourist sites, 12 are rated Class-5A attractions, as per the provisional Department of Culture and Tourism.

Over the time, theme parks in China have started to reopen. Fantawild Oriental Heritage in Jingzhou and Xiamen and Silk Road Dreamland in Jiayuguan are some of the parks that have reopened. While temperature checks will be in place, a cap has also been put on the number of visitors; there will also be more staff present in those sites and cleaning procedures also increased.

As a part of precautions, social distancing throughout the park will be encouraged along with signs reminding guests to maintain distance. Also, steps have been taken to ensure visitors are seated in every other row on rides. Further, as theme parks around the world remain closed during the pandemic, many might look forward to China’s reopening strategy to assess their successes when trying to reopen themselves.
