Tripura becomes Coronavirus-free after Goa and other destinations

Tripura has joined the league of Indian states that are free from the Coronavirus. Recently, Goa, Manipur, Kargil, Pulwama and 10 districts of Uttar Pradesh were also declared COVID-free by the government authorities. Now, Tripura’s Chief Minister has also announced that there is no Coronavirus patient in the state anymore after its second patient tested negative.

The CM tweeted that the state has become Coronavirus-free. He also requested people to observe social distancing and follow the mandates laid down by the Indian government.

Tripura’s first Coronavirus patient was a woman hailing from Udaipur town in Gomati district. He had returned from Guwahati before the lockdown and tested positive for COVID-19 infection on April 6.

Tripura now has 111 Coronavirus unconfirmed cases under surveillance, 227 patients are spending their time under home quarantine for recovery.

Goa is the first green state in India with no COVID-19 positive case reported since April 3. Yet, Ports Minister of Goa, Michael Lobo, stated that no tourism activity will be permitted to resume in the state until Coronavirus is wiped off from the entire country. Yesterday, Pulwama, Kargil and 10 districts of Uttar Pradesh acquired the green tag.
