The Quay Co-op has released a new specials menu at its ‘Upstairs’ cafe to coincide with the iconic vegetarian hub’s 40th anniversary.

The special’s menu has a 1980s topic and involves vegetarian and vegan versions of prawn cocktail, beef stroganoff and knickerbocker glory. Two courses are priced at €19.82.

Simon Tiptaft, General Supervisor of the Quay Co-op claims, “At the Quay Co-op we’re on the lookout toward the foreseeable future but we also want to carry again some of the finest matters about the 1980s. We’ve released an 80s themed specials menu to coincide with the 40th anniversary celebrations. You can count on a retro vegetarian and vegan twist on some 80s ‘classics’ like ‘prawn’ cocktail’ stroganoff, knickerbocker glory and even the ultimate 80s assertion consume, Cinzano, is building a comeback to neat at the co-op. We hope our consumers will take pleasure in what will be a nostalgic culinary journey down memory lane for some, and a completely new experience for our young followers.”

The Quay Co-op commenced as a neighborhood cooperative in 1982 before producing into a workers’ cooperative. Nowadays, the Quay Co-op employs 50 people concerning its vegetarian deli, bakery, wholefoods store and restaurant on O’Sullivan’s Quay, its vegetarian food-generation facility on Cove Avenue and satellite suppliers in Carrigaline and Ballincollig. It proceeds to be owned by its customers.
