No more parties in Ibiza for the rest of 2020

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and its refusal to die down, Ibiza, the party hub is not going to be the same for the rest of the year. We have all wanted to go to Ibiza to go party hopping in this incredible party destination, but that is going to have to wait for now.

According to reports, the government here in Ibiza is considering keeping its nightclubs shut for the rest of the year. While some local Balearic news reports claimed that they might remain shut for the rest of 2021 as well. The idea is to wait for a proper treatment or vaccine for the COVID-19.

So for now visitors to Ibiza will have to experience its natural side, more sombre tourism attractions. The Balearic island is not justa party spot, as it has gained its reputation in recent years. But there is a treasure trove of natural beauty, and a thriving art and culture scene that is often overlooked. This seems like a great time to experience another side of Ibiza, it could be an opportunity for the islan to shed its old clothes, and adorn a new one in the tourism sector.

The Night League, which is a group composed of superclubs such as Hi Ibiza, and Ushuaia, recently issued a statement saying this is the hardest situation they have ever faced. They have promised that come 2021, Ibia will see one of the biggest seasons ever. Few festivals are still being held in the island, but the party scene seems to be quiet.

The nightlife industry here, which includes DJs, workers at the clubs, and more, are facing hardships at the moment with the COVID-19 situation.

Ibiza is not permitting any venue with capacity more than 300 people, and that too with a one-third capacity. Gathering on dance floors are not permitted.
