Kerala Tourism launches ‘My First Trip 2021’ campaign to woo domestic tourists

Kerala Tourism has launched a new
My First Trip 2021 campaign to woo domestic tourists. Launching the Kerala Blog Express, Rani George, Principal Secretary of Tourism in Kerala said, “The trip will give the participants a chance to not just visit the famous tourist destinations in Kerala, but experience the cuisine, culture, art and other popular activities around.”

The travel campaign, led by 10 famous social media influencers from India, is slated to conclude on March 29. The influencers will create an itinerary for six nights and five days, facilitating production of exclusive content for Kerala Tourism.

All images, videos and written content will be generated by the influencers and shared on various social media platforms as
#MyFirstTrip. They will get the opportunity to announce that Kerala continues to be open for tourism in post-COVID era.

George further added that the tourism industry across the globe was disturbed and stuck by the pandemic. Now that people are learning to live in COVID-19 situation, Kerala has started experiencing visitors from November-December 2020.

“Now, these vloggers can also spread the word to the world that Kerala is safer to explore since Covid-19 cases are on the decline in the state. So, people would understand the situation,” said George.

Kerala Tourism Director, VR Krishna Teja also said that through the trip, people will get to experience the warmth of Kerala that will make them feel how safe the state is to explore.

The campaign will take all the 10 influencers on a trip to Kerala’s gorgeous destinations in 10 specially branded cars. The participants will travel to destinations like the Jatayu Earth Center at Chadayamangalam in Kollam, Thumboormuzhi Garden in Chalakudy, Thrissur, Vazhachal, and Athirapally waterfalls, among others.
