Budget airlines Flydubai recently said that it has put flight tickets for sale to India and Pakistan to send back people from both the countries back to their home nations. The flight will start repatriation work next week onwards, but the recommencement of flights is at the discretion of Indo-Pak governments.
Presently, numerous people from Indian and Pakistan are grounded in the UAE due to the suspension of flights in all the three nations.
On the other hand, Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai has announced on Twitter that so far no special flights to Pakistan have been planned yet. Booking by airline or travel agent has no agreement of this consulate.
Meanwhile, the Consulate General of Pakistan is gathering information of its natives stranded in the UAE to bring them back as soon as the flight operations resume.
Reportedly, Ahmed Amjad Ali, Consul-General of Pakistan in Dubai, said that preference will be given to those Pakistani nationals who were either fired from their employment or their visas have expired. On April 5, about 20000 people had filed an application for repatriation to Pakistan.
Meanwhile, bookings are on for the following cities:
Pakistan:
- Faisalabad (LYP)
- Karachi (KHI)
- Sialkot (SKT)
- Multan (MUX)
India:
