Have you ever wondered what it is like to travel from your couch? Well, Ohio’s Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden has made a similar arrangement to ensure that you don’t have to step out during the Coronavirus lockdowns and travel from the comfort of your homes. Yes, it will bring the beauty of this place to your living rooms.

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden hosts Zoo Blooms every year, which is a month-long event that sees hundreds of tulips blooming in vibrant colours, creating a colour riot. This event attracts a number of visitors, who then also wander around to check out the animals in the zoo. The non-profit establishment has found a creative way to keep you entertained and satiate your urge for travel even as most of the countries around the world face a lockdown for now.

However, this year, things are going to be a little different. With social distancing in place, it won’t be possible for fans to visit the garden in person this year. Therefore, the zoo authorities have launched digital Zoo Blooms, so as to enable them to admire them from afar. Not only that, the facility will also spread joy by transporting real flowers to hospitals and nursing homes.

Reportedly, the peak bloom is anticipated to take place around Easter; Zoo’s Horticulture Director Stephen Foltz will be hosting a virtual tour at 3 PM on Facebook around this time.

The zoo has also planned to host an annual celebration for Earth Day on similar lines. The zoo will be hosting
Party for the Planet, which will again be a virtual platform to enable people to celebrate this event from the safety of their homes.
