Fully vaccinated travellers just got a bit of good news, as the federal government announced further loosening of travel restrictions, removing pre-entry testing requirements for fully vaccinated Canadians.
As of April 1, 2022 at 12:01 AM ET, all fully vaccinated travellers no longer need to show a negative pre-entry COVID-19 test result to enter Canada by air, land and water.
Still, some pandemic-related travel rules are still in place.
Those arriving may still be pulled for mandatory, random PCR testing at the airport (partly to monitor any emerging COVID-19 variants). However, these travellers will not be required to isolate while waiting for their test results.

You still need proof of vaccination and the ArriveCAN app or website
As of April 1, 2022, to be considered fully vaccinated, you need to have received two doses of a government-approved COVID-19 vaccine. This requirement remains for anyone looking to board federally-regulated air, rail and marine transportation.
Travellers still have to submit their proof of vaccination and other details using the ArriveCAN app before arriving in Canada. Those who miss this step may need to test and quarantine for 14 days regardless of their vaccination status.
For travellers who are not fully vaccinated, requirements are not changing.
Before your trip, continue to monitor all arrival and departure requirements, as these may change, given the evolving nature of the situation.
Also be sure to always check your destination’s requirements, since these too may vary from Canada’s and change depending on local circumstances.
