3-day institutional quarantine, 11-day home quarantine for people returning from TN, Delhi: Karnataka CM

Any person visiting Karnataka from Tamil Nadu and Delhi will be under compulsory obligation under the law to go through three days of institutional quarantine and 11 days of home quarantine.

According to the news reports, the declaration was made by Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa. Formerly, people returning from Maharashtra were asked to be under seven-day institutional quarantine, but no quarantine was needed for asymptomatic people coming from other Indian states. However, those coming from Tamil Nadu and Delhi will now have to be quarantined for three and 11 days. Whereas people coming from states except Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi will be home quarantined for 14 days.

Reportedly, the CM took the decision considering the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in Tamil Nadu and Delhi. He also said that due to the people coming from other states, COVID-19 infection in Karnataka has spread more.
