Three world-renowned museums in London are all set to reopen in August

After remaining shuttered for months now, the three famous museums in London are all geared up to reopen to tourists in August. These three museums are the Natural History Museum, V&A and The Science Museum. According to local media, all three museums will open on different dates to avoid huge gatherings. These museums will not only follow strict new health and safety rules, but will have also their individual capacities reduced by 80 percent.

Here are all the details that you need to know.

Natural History Museum

The director of the Natural History Museum said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to experience all three of our museums without crowds.” He said that guest capacity here would be about 2800 visitors per day.

Talking about new rules, face masks won’t be mandatory but will be ‘strongly recommended.’ Also kids under 11 years of age are exempt from wearing face masks.

Opening date: August 5.
Timings: Wednesday to Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM

V&A

V&A, the world’s largest museum of art, design, and performance will be recommending routes for visitors. As of now, only the ground floor, Europe 1600 and a few galleries will be opened to visitors.

Timings: Thursday to Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM

Entry: Free

The Science Museum

The Science Museum, one of the most popular museums in the country, will implement self-guided routes to ensure social distancing. Hand sanitizer will be provided by the museum authorities. Face masks are recommended, but are not mandatory.

Opening date: August 19
Timings: Open all days from 10 AM to 6 PM
