“Do yourself a favor. Before it’s too late, without thinking too much about it first, pack a pillow and a blanket and see as much of the world as you can. You will not regret it. One day it will be too late.”

The Namesake (2006) is probably Irrfan Khan’s one of the best overseas ventures that was directed by Mira Nair. Based on tJhumpa Lahiri’s novel, the movie had Irrfan Khan, Tabu and Al Penn in lead roles. The movie beautifully portrayed the struggles of a Bengali couple trying to settle down in the United States. The movie captures the best of two worlds, India and America.

The Darjeeling Limited was one of the early crossover movies in Irrfan Khan’s Hollywood career released in the year 2008. Though the actor had a small role, he was noticed and praised by cinemalovers and critics across the globe.
