16 countries allow visa-free entry to Indian passport holders

If you have been wondering where you could go without a visa, here’s your answer. 16 countries will now provide visa-free entry for Indian passport holders. Among these 16 countries, you have Bhutan and Mauritius.

V Muraleedharan, Minister of State for External Affairs, said in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha that there are 16 countries that provide visa-free entry to ordinary Indian passport holders. He further informed that there are 43 countries providing visa-on-arrival facilities, and 36 countries providing e-visa facilities.

The 16 countries providing visa free facilities to ordinary Indian passport holders are Barbados, Nepal, Bhutan, Mauritius, Haiti, Hong Kong SAR, the Maldives, Senegal, Serbia, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Dominica, Samoa, Senegal, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Niue Island, and Montserrat.

The Minister further said that it is the continuing efforts of the government to increase this number of free-visa travel, e-visa facilities, and visa-on-arrival. This will, of course, allow travellers to go on international travels with ease.

As of now, Indonesia and Myanmar provide visa-on-arrival to Indian passport holders, while Malaysia and New Zealand have e-visa facilities for Indians.
