New York City’s new Little Island park is every island lover's dream!

New York City’s latest park is every island lover’s dream come true. The
Little Island in NYC, built on the Hudson River, is now ready to welcome locals and tourists. The park that opened on Friday is spread over 2.4 acres of land right above the Hudson River.

This gorgeous park is built by the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation in partnership with the Hudson River Park Trust. The star attractions of the park are the 350 species of flowers, trees, and shrubs. This park has changed the whole look of Manhattan. This breathtaking floating island can be reached via West 13th St.

Barry Diller of the project said,”I hope Little Island will serve as a whimsical oasis for everyone who visits, a place to wander around and be happily surprised at every turn, to lounge and graze the landscape, and to be entertained, educated, and stimulated by our programming.”

The park also features a 687-seat amphitheater which will showcase Broadway artists and American Ballet Theatre.

The park’s architect Signe Nielsen told a travel magazine, “It’s intended to be a place to relax and I think we’ve been able to do that with the landscape by… masking the visual and even acoustical noise of the city so you can focus inward. It’s rare on a pier that you can focus inward.”

Entry to the park is free; however, one must book their tickets in advance online. The park remains open from 6 AM until 1 AM.
