Harry Potter 'Stay at Home' team will not let you venture outside

JK Rowling, the renowned author of the Harry Potter series, along with her team, has come up with an interesting way to keep kids (and adults too) entertained during the tough Coronavirus lockdown period. The team behind the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has designed a Harry Potter At Home hub, where young fans can enjoy myriad fun activities online while sitting at home. The app features kid-friendly activities, puzzles, games, videos, illustrations, quizzes and more.

Not only this, but there will also be a weekly newsletter every Friday to make sure kids stay entertained and informed all the time. Another fantastic feature is that there is the audiobook of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone that people can stream for free. The eBook and audiobook would be available for free in more than 20 different languages internationally!

Team Harry Potter decided to bring Hogwarts inside people’s homes, while humans across the globe continue to fight the Coronavirus pandemic by maintaining social distance and practising quarantine measures.

In a statement released from the Wizarding World team, “The Harry Potter At Home hub aims to help inspire you, your family, your friends, and especially children all around the world to read for pleasure and enjoy the stories, as well as bring some magic-infused joy and entertainment to all the family.”

It further reads that the hub is also a place for those, who have showered their love on Harry Potter for decades now. This is a perfect place for the fans to “feel the warmth of the fire in the Gryffindor common room or a much-needed hug from Mrs Weasley.”

Earlier, the author and her team had already granted a special, open licence for teachers to read all the seven books in the series to their students. This means that the teachers can read and record themselves and share the video with their students online.
