We arrived in Bucharest Nord on time and I said goodbye to our excellent steward and also to the well travelled passenger in the next compartment, who by chance was English. Our weekend started Friday night at one in the morning when we boarded a night train bound for Seoul. We got a few hours of shut-eye before arriving just after 4 a.m. and hung out in McDonald’s (since it was the only heated area in the train station).
Many of us like a good firework show. Unfortunately, every year we see people try to avoid the crowds at venues putting on the shows and sometimes stopping on highway shoulders or even off- and on-ramps to watch the show. This is a bad idea, creates a significant road hazard and can lead to collisions. Please don’t stop on highways or ramps to watch the shows, and if you’re driving during a firework show, please keep your eyes on the road.
The only diving destination in India’s eastern coast is Pondicherry.
